While some customers have it clear and ask firmly for "the peanut ones", the debate is always open about the Microns. How many are good and why?

Let's start from the beginning: Bubble covers were created to increase the temperature of the water, avoid evaporation with the convenient savings in water, energy and chemicals, and in addition a better control of dirt, dust, leaves etc.

Talking about Microns, it is important to choose the right thickness: not too little, not too many.

People usually think that a bubble cover is better if it is thicker. Of course you cannot use the plastic that came with your last order in Amazon, those bubbles will die in the Spanish sun in less than a week! But 500 to 700 microns of a 1st quality Geobubble is the thickness we recommend for Mediterranean summer. The lighter for smooth curved or rectangular pools, the thicker with reinforcements for tricky shapes. More microns will mean a heavier cover to roll and unroll everyday. And the guarantee is always for two years, Microns doesn't mean a longer life. Geobubble summer covers are made with a special polymer, the composition of the material is the clue. You can have a thick product made with the incorrect polymer, and it won't stand the heat of the sun and it will loose flexibility in the first summer season.
